US Army Cargo Trailer
This WW2 design 1.5 ton trailer is in fact a post-war M104 (G- 754) according to our expert. Typically it would be towed by a Kaiser 1.25 ton M715 Jeep, being too heavy for the smaller Jeeps.
It carries a (British Army!) yellow bridge plate indicating a max of 6 tons laden weight.
There is some rust as shown, but is otherwise remarkably complete (undamaged tailgate, axle and wheels included) and rare. We offer this without commission on behalf of the McKean Rehabilitation Centre (hospital), Chiang Mai, where it can be viewed by appointment through ourselves. |

1939 (c) Dodge Bus
Probably unique in Thailand, this world war 2 Dodge has a straight 6 side valve petrol engine, twin rear wheels and a complete cab (doors now being rebuilt).
The timber body is in remarkably good condition and the whole vehicle is approx. 7 meters long. In service, this bus operated the Chiang Mai - Lampang - Chiang Rai route and was commandeered for some time by the Japanese army.
The bus is available (with log book) at the price quoted but restoration has begun. The owner estimates that it will be worth 600,000 baht when complete. |
